BERT BOSTROM PARK TO CLOSE FOR MAJOR STORMWATER PROJECT BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2024

The long-awaited green infrastructure stormwater project coming to Bert Bostrom Park is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 8, 2024. This major endeavor, which will eliminate flooding in the park and on the surrounding streets, will use underground water storage and filtration chambers (similar to the ones seen in this image) to capture and filter stormwater, resulting in clean water being discharged into the Intracoastal Waterway. The project is expected to take one year to complete.
