The Lake Park Special Events Department, located at 535 Park Avenue, First Floor Commission Chambers, coordinates special events and recreational opportunities throughout the year for residents and visitors of all ages.

The Department coordinates community events, runs a comprehensive Summer Camp Program for young people ages 6-12, and organizes many year-round activities.

Through county, state, and local funding and corporate sponsorships, the Department has added playgrounds to area parks, improved ball fields, beautified Kelsey Park and Lake Shore Park, refurbished the Lake Park Tennis facility, made Town parks and playgrounds accessible to the disabled, renovated the Mirror Ballroom, and hosted our monthly Sunset Celebration, annual Easter Egg Hunt, Veterans Day Parade and the Holiday Tree Lighting. The Special Events Department also partners with other businesses to host the annual Back To School Extravaganza, Veterans Day Car Show and other special events.
