NEXT PHASE OF STORMWATER PROJECT BEGAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, EXPECTED TO LAST UNTIL SUMMER OF 2025
REMINDER: NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAFFIC ARE PROHIBITED IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE.
Resident safety is everyone’s highest priority. We urge you to be as careful as possible in the area.
As part of the grant-funded Southern Outfall Pipe Replacement Project (a stormwater project for the Town of Lake Park) the existing bridge, which has long been closed to traffic, will be demolished. The temporary road around the bridge structure will be closed shortly after the demolition work begins. Southbound traffic on Lake Shore Drive will not be permitted south of Date Palm Drive until April at the earliest.
Access to and from the Lake Park Harbor Marina will be down Cypress Drive via a temporary road. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise extreme caution in the area and pay close attention to traffic barriers, directional signs, stop signs, and barricades, as they may be relocated as needed.
This project is expected to be completed in August of 2025.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please contact the Public Works Department at 561-881-3345 or publicworks@lakeparkflorida.gov with any questions.
CONSTRUCTION NOTIFICATION FOR SEMINOLE DRIVE
A construction project at 120 Palmetto Drive began on August 15 and is scheduled to last through mid-November. Work will primarily take place on the roadway shoulder, with minimal, if any, impact to traffic expected.

BERT BOSTROM PARK TO CLOSE FOR YEAR-LONG STORMWATER PROJECT BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2024
The long-awaited green infrastructure stormwater project coming to Bert Bostrom Park is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 8. This major endeavor, which will eliminate flooding in the park and on the surrounding streets, will use underground water storage and filtration chambers (similar to the ones seen in this image) to capture and filter stormwater, resulting in clean water being discharged into the Intracoastal Waterway. The project is expected to take one year to complete.
