2013 Summer Camp will be held June 10-August 16 at the Lake Park Recreation Center, 311 7th Street (located at the 7th Street Ball Fields). Our 8 week Summer Camp hours are 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for youth ages 6-12 years. Resident and Non-resident fees available with an option of extended care 7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. Annual Community Celebration (July 4th in June) - 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in Lake Shore Park. Celebrate our independence day early at this year's Lake Park Community Celebration. JES Productions is hosting the Annual Seafood Festival - Saturday, November 9, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, November 10, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Seafood prepared the way it was meant to be, along with the great tasting side dishes and plenty of entertainment, guaranteed a fantastic time for the whole family and all of your friends! Toys for Tots Drive - TBA The Town is participating again in supporting The Marine Toys For Tots Foundation with the Toys for Tots Toy Drive by providing three toy collection locations. You may drop off your donation of a new and unwrapped toy at: Town Hall-535 Park Avenue, Lake Park Library-539 Park Avenue or Lake Park Harbor Marina-105 Lake Shore Drive. Santa's Mailbox - TBA The Lake Park Recreation Department helps community youngsters get their lists right to Santa Claus himself. His special mailbox will be in Town Hall's lobby at 535 Park Avenue. All of Santa's letters dropped in Santa's Mailbox must include the child's neatly written name, return address and telephone number to ensure a personalized return letter from Santa. Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony- December 6, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
Join Santa Claus, family and friends for this years Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony held at Town Green downtown on the corner of Park Ave & 9th St. Enjoy the family activities, vendors and the sounds of local choirs as we light the Town's holiday tree to kick off the 2012 holiday season. Special appearance by Santa Claus at 6:00pm with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7:00pm. For more information, call Parks & Recreation at 561-881-3338.
Christmas Box Angel Statue Ceremony - TBA Hospice of Palm Beach County hosts a moving ceremony in Kelsey Park in honor of families who have lost children from all around the area. Kelsey Park's Angel Statue was the seventh statue in the country created around the Christmas Box Angel Story. It is the goal for all 50 states to have one Angel Statue, and Lake Park was chosen as Florida's host city. The annual event is conducted by Horizon's Pregnancy, Infant and Child Loss Program. Lake Park's Festival of Lights - from Thanksgiving through the end of December
The Town of Lake Park encourages the citizens of Lake Park to decorate their homes and businesses for the holidays.
